Provenance

"Casa Bang"

The name Casa Bang comes from the name of the small town my mother is from - Casibang in Leyte, Philippines. Having been lucky enough to spend summers there growing up, we have been inspired by the culture and want to share that with as many people as possible.

We aim to empower smaller producers, champion female producers and promote the Philippines, its people and its culture.

What is Abaca?

Abaca is a natural material made from banana leaf fibres, sometimes known as Manila hemp.

What is Pandan?

Pandan is a tropical plant with long, blade-like leaves. It is processed and transformed into splints that can be used as a raw material in creating various items including baskets. It is also a delicious flavour in baking!

Care Instructions

Most of the the items we sell are made using natural materials. There may be some differences in colour and appearance as a result of this.

We would suggest cleaning items made from pandan or pinya with a damp cloth using only water.
